Our Story

Proudly South Indian.

The tiffin brand built for Bengaluru's on-the-move generation.

There is a taste you grow up with that never leaves you. Growing up in Andhra Pradesh, two brothers chased one thing: that perfect plate of tiffin. The kind amma made on Sunday mornings. Idli, sambhar, fresh chutney. The kind of meal you'd wake up before sunrise for and never complain about.

That love never left. One of us travelled across South India for work, but every new city was really just a new list of tiffin places to try. From hole-in-the-wall joints to legendary old establishments, the mission was always the same: find that taste. The one that takes you home.

Dosa & Kaapi Stop is what happens when that obsession finally becomes something real. We wanted to bring that joy, honest, no-shortcuts South Indian food, to Bengaluru's everyday commute. No frills, no pretence. Just the food we grew up loving, served at Mahalakshmi Metro, made the way it's supposed to be made.

What We Stand For

Three Pillars.

Authentic

Every recipe is rooted in South Indian tradition. We don't modernize for the sake of it — we stay true to the flavours Bengalureans grew up on. Our sambar has the same depth your grandmother's did. Our chutney is ground fresh, every morning. The dosa batter ferments overnight, the way it always has.

Unhurried Quality, Swift Service

The food takes its time. You shouldn't have to. We've built our kitchen to deliver slow-crafted flavours at metro speed. Every idli is steamed to order. Every dosa is spread on the tawa when you ask for it. But our systems, our prep, and our people make sure you're not waiting longer than a metro interval.

Proudly Local

From our Kannada script on signage to our menu names, every detail celebrates where we're from. Namma taste, your pace. We're not a chain pretending to be local — we are local. Our ingredients, our recipes, our names, and our people are all from here.

The Space

Open Counter. Live Kitchen.

Walk up and you see everything. The tawa, the batter, the pour. There's no back-of-house mystery here — the cooking is the marketing. Steel finishes, dark wood accents, warm lighting that makes the food look exactly as good as it tastes.

The counter is designed for speed without feeling rushed. Order, watch your dosa get made, pick it up, and you're on your way. Or pull up a stool and take your time with a second kaapi. Either works. Namma pace.
